New Holland Saskatoon currently employs over 700 people, making us the largest manufacturer in Saskatoon. With new product lines arriving this year we are looking to fill a variety of positions within our organization. We currently have several opportunities in both hourly and salaried positions. Please read below for a description of just some of these opportunities.
Hourly Positions
Assembler Finisher:
This positions main function is to perform packaging and assembling of various products made throughout the manufacturing facility. In this position you would perform a variety of either component assembly or complete company products. As an assembler you would be responsible for inspecting parts as well as inventory control as needed.
Machine Operator:
This position is responsible for operating a variety of machines throughout the plant. These machines include drill presses, punch press, shears, ironworkers, and CNC’s. This position is required to cut and form an assortment of metal parts to specified dimensions to be used and distributed for various farm implements. As a machine operator you would be responsible for the first and last inspection of each order of parts. It would require the ability to work from blue prints as well as shop drawings.
Welder:
This position’s primary duty is to weld production parts to required specifications based on drawings and verbal instructions. Some of the duties would require you to operate semi automatic welding equipment to weld a variety of steel plates, angles, and sheet metal. You would also be required to perform chipping and scraping cleaning operations to complete finished welds.
Wages:• Entry level positions start at $16.89 up to $24.46.
Qualifications for all hourly positions:
• No previous
experience is necessary.
• The successful applicant will have successfully completed Grade 12 or
GED 12.
Salaried Positions
Engineering - This position is responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency, cost, product quality, and worker safety by analyzing current methods, new methods, new technologies and cost reduction activities in selected areas.
Supervisory - Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the effective utilization of people, materials, equipment and manufacturing processes within the assigned department to meet safety, production schedule, quality, inventory, cost and delivery objectives.
Quality Control - This position will develop and implement quality assurance programs and procedures to assure conformance of manufactured components and finished products to establish specifications and quality standards.
Production Planner- This position is responsible for providing detailed manufacturing schedules within the established master production schedule in order to meet production schedule, quality, inventory, cost and delivery objectives.
